TEACHERS & PARENTS - INTERESTED IN THEIR FUTURE?

The world is moving at such a fast pace and this makes preparing young people for their future a real challenge. It is estimated that 40% of the current year 7 young people will end up working in industries that currently do not exist. It is therefore so important that we equip them with the skills they will need to find their way and make their future a success.

In September 2004 Work Related Learning became statutory for all Key Stage 4 Young People (aged 14 - 16). In September 2005, Enterprise Education became an entitlement as part of Work Related Learning. From September 2013, every young person will have an entitlement to a new 14 - 19 curriculum offer, offering different pathways to progression, new diploma qualifications and the opportunity to develop and demonstrate Personal, Learning and Thinking Skills.

Schools need to deliver a broad curriculum to ensure they are addressing these current and emerging areas of learning and we provide programmes to support this delivery. All of our activities and programmes are developed in partnership with the 14 - 19 team to ensure they address the needs of this emerging agenda and all our activities and programmes are delivered in partnership with the business community to make them real and relevant to the changing world we live in.
